Animal Crossing Sales on the Rise

Amazon said that pre orders for the game are on the rise this week. Good thing I already have my Best Buy pre order.

Tom Nook Cupcakes

These cute cupcakes were brought to my attention by a post on the Animal Crossing Wild World guild on Gaia. It's a cute idea.

More New Pictures

Thank you to the accityfolk channel on You Tube for being so up-to-date with everything.

Here is the link for the scans on Go Nintendo.

And this is what I gather is the original source of the scans.

Motion Control? Sweet.

I saw some videos on You Tube that had some scans from a Japanese magazine that showed new furniture, clothing, accessories and what I think is the best news of all-motion control fishing. Now, this was written in Japanese-I can't read it, so I can't be sure what it says. Also, will these things be in the US released version? I can't be sure, but I hope so.

Here are the videos:

Here are links to a blog that just has the scans you view if you don't want to watch the video:

And here is just a cropped picture that shows the motion control fishing:

Name Change, Bundle Price, and Box Art (?)

The name will not be "City Folk" in Australia. They have changed it to "Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City" for what seems to be no reason. I found 2 sites with this information: here and here.

Also there are several sites confirming that there will be a bundle with the game and WiiSpeak together selling for $70. Here, here, and here (are just a few of the links with this information).

And this isn't official, but GameSpot has this image showing as the box art for the game:

One of my main disappointments...

There is no Animal Crossing Channel on the main screen of the Wii. If they can have a channel for Mario Kart, why not Animal Crossing? Especially since there is all this talk of the downloadable content and stuff. This is a rather lame reason, given by Eguchi in the interview that is listed on the previous post,

"Eguchi tells us, the reason Nintendo has no plans to offer a Wii Animal Crossing Channel. “It’s a big game, a huge game for the system, and to try and cut off a portion of that to place in a channel, I’m not sure if that’s something we’d be interested in.” "

Some people were upset about the weather channel not being a part of the game, but that doesn't bother me at all.

I still haven't read a reason as to why they decided NOT to include motion control as part of the game. I think that is probably the biggest disappointment of all. I mean, the main focus of the Wii was that the controls were "mobile," jerking the wiimote to catch a fish, swinging it to catch a bug-and that's not in this game. I think they really dropped the ball on that one.

...And possibly the cover art? I can't find any information to confirm this, but it looks pretty good to me-although Photoshop is pretty amazing, so who knows.
